Chris and Wendy Jeub have this regret: they wished they understood at an earlier age the profundity of parental love. It takes all parents by surprise at first, but it’s understood by most grandparents. Think of the grandma and grandpa of a dozen grown children and more grandchildren than you can count. Their advice: Love your children more.
Life gets complicated, though. Popular sentiment discourages children; you’re almost crazy if you don’t cut the line, “get fixed,” and keep from having more than one or two children. Personal fear weighs in, too, doubts that you’d be emotionally, physically or financially able to raise a child.
The Jeubs have grappled with these doubts, and they’ve wrestled with the flow of the culture. They’ve come through with a message about love that will transform how you think about children and family life. It’s a perspective of faith, a walk of conviction and adventure. Love Another Child is a joy to read, but also encouraging and persuasive.
